Proact grows in Denmark – acquires Orchestra
31 august 2009 09:17 - Proact in Denmark, Proact Systems A/S, grows through acquisition of the Århus based storage company Orchestra Nordic. All activities and employees of Orchestras continue within Proact after the acquisition.
Proact, who has been based in Denmark for six years with its main office in Copenhagen and a local office in Århus, is now strengthening its position in the western part of the country by acquiring Orhcestra Nordic, also located in Århus.
- Orhestra has, as Proact, expertise in data storage systems from various vendors, says Carsten Egeberg, CEO of Proact Systems A/S. – We have for a long time known Orchestra as skilled colleagues in the business, so when the opportunity of this deal came up, we did not hesitate to move. Despite that Orchestra has less than 10 employees they have managed to build an impressive customer base with support contracts, explains Carsten Egeberg.
Data Storage is growing
- The market analysts IDC expects the amount of data will increase with a factor of six from 2006 to 2010, and this is of course also valid for Denmark. It is in this perspective one should see our acquisition of Orchestra, says Olof Sand, CEO of Proact IT Group AB. – We can see that our strategy is correct, and with this acquisition we take yet another step up the ladder to grow in Denmark.
Immediate effect
Proact’s take over of the Orchestra Nordic is effective from 1 September 2009, and all activities and employees are moved into Proact immediately. Orchestra Nordic will be closed down and terminated as soon as possible.
